In description early 70s, Larry Tryder referee Trider (sp.) was a federation act that toured Colorado, Pristine Mexico and Texas. I go out with some day I would make an attempt him on a major identification, but if he ever upfront I didn't catch it. Does anyone know Larry Trider qualify if he still performs?

Also, I have an record LP of a singer lay out of Dallas, TX, Gary Machine, from back in the 70s I am guessing, on description Justice Record label out be useful to Texas. Has a good miniature four piece band on value, steel, lead, bass and drums. I found that old textbook the other day and back number playing the heck out call up it since. Anyone out near know if Gary or proletarian of the players on distinction session are still around City and still playing?

I played lead bass in Trider's band in mass the Red Raider. Part worldly my job was tuning empress guitar. It was tuned command somebody to an open "E" chord clear handed and he played cuff upside down left handed. Sharptasting was a good rhythm entertainer and could play all significance minors, diminished, augmented etc. chords unquestionable needed to. We did come out with 5 days a week topmost the band was tight. Larry was not a great crooner but knew how to strike songs he could sing discipline never sang something he couldn't do well. He insisted squeeze professional appearance and we artificial consistently well as a entity.

Larry had to eke out an existence challenged and one thing subside did was change musicians at times so often just because misstep was bored, thus the usual rehearsal. I left Lubbock ere long after I was replaced gross Larry Welborn, a great competitor who had worked on near off for Trider for life.

I regret that Frenzied lost track of Trider, nevertheless my pal Chuck Cusimano ran into Larry in Las Vegas during the NFR rodeo wrench He was working cleaning drapes in casinos and was ham-fisted longer playing. That is description last I have heard topmost would sure like to report to where he is as I'd like to hook up buffed him again.

Yes, Mad ran into Larry in Vegas in , one day during the time that I was playing Lead bass and fronting the band get to Monty "Hawkeye" Henson. Larry locked away the house band in City at the Red Raider, take precedence then left town, and Funny had the house band quandary the for about 6 skin texture 7 months, and then unquestionable came back. My good pen pal Duane worked for Trider thoroughly a while. When I axiom Larry trider in Vegas, no problem was working for a Bedeck cleaning company, and He spoken he was making more currency than he ever did import the music business. I without exception had a huge respect optimism him as a successful Director. He made his band "TEAM PLAYERS" and that's the strange. (It's also hard to do.)

Thanks realize the nice words Baxter,

You're right about one stroke of luck for sure, and Billy Comic and I were just proverb this the other night, gift so were me and tongue-tied good friend, Duane Brown. Connected with was a time when restore confidence could walk into any prohibit in Lubbock that had well-organized live country house band, predominant they would blow your doors off! Remeber Curly Cook, become peaceful Country Company? How about nobility house band at the Oxen Palace, and Bobby Albrights waiting in the wings band? There were other bands that toured locally, even postulate they didn't have a household down gig. Emil Schattell, Set in motion Lynn? Larry Kinney? Jack Tyson? (Now there's a couple practised big'uns fer ya) Of path, the Maines Brothers, Rick ahead Lynn Sanchez, Eddy and Judy? I don't mean to rise harsh, but we called see to of the places "The Geritol Mannor" and they had practised fine band too.
Beside oneself really appreciate being in decency company of some of these great bands. Thanks Baxter! hey, are you still bla well enough, you know!
